General Rules & Regulations

  • The recreational facilities are for the exclusive use of residents and their guests.
  • For the use of BBQ Pit and/or Tennis Court a booking must be placed 3 days in advance . All confirmed booking will received a confirmation email. If you did not receive a confirmation email, please contact the management.
  • Any cancellation or amendments must be made during Monday – Friday between 9am to 5pm (excludes Public Holiday) and at least 24 hours prior to bookings
  • E.g.: If booking is placed on Sunday, any changes need to be notified to the management by Friday before 5pm.
  • All guests may use the recreational facilities only when accompanied by the residents, who will ensure that their guests comply with the rules and regulations. Entry will be refused for non-compliance.
  • Residents must produce valid security access cards to use the facilities and to make bookings.
  • Residents must inform the Management of any existing damages to the facility or equipment prior to use, failing which the resident will be held responsible for the damages and be liable for the repair / replacement costs.
  • No food and beverages are allowed in the recreational areas other than the BBQ area.
  • Any form of nudity is not allowed within the public & recreational areas.
  • Any residents and / or their guests who breach any of the rules herein, or endanger themselves or others, shall be required to leave the area.
  • In the event of bad weather (heavy rain, thunderstorms), all outdoor activities must cease for safety reasons.
  • The Management will not be held responsible for any loss or damage to any personal property, injury or death arising from the use of the recreational facilities.
  • All rules and regulations are subject to revision at the discretion of the Management.

BBQ Pit Rules & Regulation

  • For safety reasons, the maximum number of people per barbeque pit is limited to 15 persons. Please make prior arrangements with Reception if you are planning to have more than 30 people. Due to space constraints, from usage of the area by other residents, additional guests may not be allowed.
  • Subjected to residents’ demand, the Management reserves the right to allow only one booking per apartment unit within a two week period.
  • Should there be no reservation on the waiting list, the user may continue using the BBQ pit provided he / she notifies the Guest Service Assistant beforehand.
  • A cleaning fee of $45 per pit is to be made after the event and payment must be made in cash/cheque.
    • Cheque payment; please deposit the cheque in the letter box at #09-02 and notify the management staff for the collection via email/call.
    • Cash payment; please proceed to The Cathay Centre Management Office between Monday-Friday 9am to 5pm.
  • Light refuse such as litter, waste food, extinguished ashes etc. must be contained in plastic bags properly tied and disposed in the refuse containers provided. Bulky items such as crates, boxes of materials, etc. must be disposed at the user’s own arrangement. Any loose furniture and utensils brought by the user must be removed from the site after use. Should the Management incur any cost in cleaning or repairing damages caused by misuse, the resident will be charged accordingly.
  • Washing of utensils shall only be done at the barbeque area. Wash basins in the changing rooms are not to be used for this purpose.
  • Any music played after 10pm must be turned down in consideration of other residents.
  • In the event of bad weather, residents will need to notify Management within the same day should they not be using the BBQ pit.
  • The Management shall not be responsible for any mishaps, injuries or loss of life or property sustained by the residents or their guests when using the barbeque area and their facilities.

Tennis Court Rules & Regulation

  • The security guards are authorized to stop any game that extends beyond 10pm.
  • Advance booking can be made on a first-come-first-served basis.
  • Each apartment unit may book a maximum of two hours in any one day.
  • Subject to residents’ demand, residents can make a a maximum of two bookings within the same week.
  • Residents must be punctual. The court will be allocated to another resident on a first-come-first-served basis if it is not claimed within 20 minutes of the time booked.
  • Proper tennis shoes and attire must be worn for the game.
  • The Management shall not be responsible for any mishaps, injuries or loss of life or property sustained by the residents or their guests when using the facility.
  • All rules and regulations are subject to revision at the discretion of the Management
